Delete Your Gloceries Account

Last updated: 15 October 2026

Gloceries ("we", "us" or "our") is a technology platform that connects customers with independent local stores. This page explains how to delete your account on the Gloceries app, the Gloceries Rider app and the Gloceries Partner app (all published on Google Play by Gloceries) and what happens to your data when you do.

1. Request deletion in the app

  • Open the Gloceries app and sign in with your mobile number.
  • Go to Profile → Account Privacy.
  • Tap Request deletion, add a reason if you like, and confirm with Send request.
  • The screen then shows the status of your request (pending, approved or completed).

2. Request deletion without the app

If you no longer have the app, contact us by email at [email protected] with the subject "Delete my Gloceries account" and tell us the mobile number registered on your account. To protect your account, we confirm the request with that number before deleting anything.

3. Delivery partners (Gloceries Rider app)

  • Open the Gloceries Rider app and sign in with your mobile number.
  • Go to Profile → Delete account. If your account is under review or suspended, tap Delete my account on the status screen instead.
  • Add a reason if you like and tap Request account deletion. You are taken offline straight away and stop receiving delivery offers.
  • Finish or hand back any active delivery and deposit any cash you collected first; the app tells you if something is still open.

We delete your rider profile and login, your ID documents (Aadhaar, driving licence) and photos, your bank or UPI payout details, and your saved working hours within 30 days of verifying the request. Any earnings still due are paid to your account on file first. Delivery, earnings, payout and tax records are kept for up to 8 years where Indian law requires it, and are not used for anything else. Without the app, use the steps in section 2 and mention that you are a delivery partner.

4. Store partners (Gloceries Partner app)

  • Open the Gloceries Partner app and sign in with your mobile number.
  • Tap the settings icon on the Orders screen to open Store settings, then tap Delete account. If your store application is under review or was not approved, or your partner account is suspended, tap Delete my account on the status screen instead.
  • Add a reason if you like and tap Request account deletion. Your store is closed straight away and stops receiving orders.
  • Let every active order (placed, packed or out for delivery) be completed first; the app tells you if one is still open.

We delete your owner profile and login, your KYC documents (Aadhaar, owner and storefront photos), your bank or UPI payout details, and your store listing within 30 days of verifying the request. Any settlement still due is paid to your payout account on file first. Order, invoice, settlement and tax records are kept for up to 8 years where Indian law requires it, and are not used for anything else. Without the app, use the steps in section 2 and mention that you are a store partner.

5. What happens next

Our team reviews each request. Any order that is still being delivered, refund that is still being processed or open support ticket is completed first, so you do not lose money owed to you. Once the request is approved, you can no longer sign in or place orders, and the data below is removed.

6. Data we delete

  • Your name and the mobile number linked to your customer account.
  • Your sign-in identity, so the account can no longer be used.
  • Push-notification tokens and registered devices.
  • Your wishlist.
  • Saved addresses, including map pins, landmarks, recipient names and phone numbers, for every address that was never used for an order.

7. Data we keep, and why

  • Order, invoice, payment and refund records, including the delivery address used for each past order. Indian tax and accounting laws require us to keep these, for up to 8 years from the end of the financial year in which the order was placed. They are no longer linked to your name or phone number.
  • Records we need to resolve a dispute, prevent fraud or meet a legal request, for as long as that need lasts.

Data held by our payment gateway about a payment you made is governed by that gateway's own retention rules under RBI regulations.
